Cannot Integrate with Jira

Hello,

I have made several PagerDuty-Jira integration connections successfully, except for my latest attempt. I cannot tell what I’m doing wrong.

All I get is this error message when creating a test issue: “JIRA test failed: JIRA was unable to process the request using the given parameters”

The only thing that would make this connection unique is that the one Jira issue type used in this project is “Bug”, and there are no priorities set up for it.

Also, the Jira project has “Summary” and “Description” as required fields.

Would you have any advice?

Are there any required fields in the Issue that aren’t being set in the integration config?

Good question. This was helpful. I thought i had removed all unnecessary required fields (only reporter and summary remain as requirements).

i took a second look and saw there was a validation set up in the Create transition (in the JIRA workflow) that required an assignee. i removed it.

now it seems like jira tickets are created but the issue summaries and descriptions are wrong. the summary only says “incident.title” and the description says “log_entries.channel.details”.

What do you make of this?
